Lecture on Preventing Campus Bullying

In recent years, the term “campus bullying” has gradually come into people’s vision and attracted more and more attention from the society. On November 1, 2016, the Ministry of Education, the Central Comprehensive Administration Office, the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the All-China Women’s Federation jointly issued the Guiding Opinions on Preventing Bullying and Violence among Primary and Middle School Students. The Opinion points out that education prevention, punishment according to law and comprehensive management should be strengthened to effectively prevent bullying and violence among students.

In response to the policy calling, at the invitation of the Zhonghan primary schools, Partner Zhang Linqiang and lawyer Li Yanhua of Shandong Win & Win Law Firm went to the Zhonghan primary schools on the afternoon of May 9, 2018, and gave a lecture on “Preventing Campus Bullying and Building a Harmonious Campus Together” for the students of the Zhonghan primary schools.

Starting with a typical story happening around students, the lecture analyzed the behavior of each character in the story from a legal point of view, so that children could understand the serious consequences of “campus bullying” on themselves, classmates, schools and families, and restrained their “cross-border behavior” in the interaction of classmates with “consequence consciousness “

For a long time, the lack of legal education is one of the important reasons for the frequent occurrence of bullying on campus. The issuance of the Guidelines on Preventing and Curing Bullying and Violence among Primary and Middle School Students and the holding of the Thematic Lecture on Zhonghan primary  school reflect the determination and confidence of the Ministry of Education, schools under its authority and all sectors of society in preventing and curing bullying on campus.

It is expected that with the joint efforts of the whole society, the phenomenon of bullying on campus will be curbed and the children will get a more sunny and healthy growth environment. This is not only a great progress in education, but also a symbol of the enrichment and perfection of the rule of law in society and a hope for the development and progress of the country and the nation.
